What a great evening the weather was perfect! What a way to end the season for the Thursday night "CRUZ" here in Uxbridge. Since my husband retired we have had more time, at the same time, to enjoy some of life's little pleasures. Time to enjoy the local "CRUZ" for instance.
This past Thursday was the last one of the season, a season that started back in mid May, 18 in all this season. The turnout for the season finale was 145 vehicles registered through the main gate and several more that entered through a secondary gate or arrived early, in all probably well in excess of 150 vehicles.

There were classics and street rods, completely refurbished historical vehicles and even a few that were projects in the works or partially completed. The evening included a fifty fifty draw and their weekly draw of prizes from their sponsors. Great food was available from Mad Millies mobile unit and entertainment was provided by a local Ladies Drumming Group. I had the pleasure of Joining the group with my Daughter and Grandson. What a thrill for me, three generations of drummers all drumming together.

I've often wondered why it is that the older we get the more we look to the past for entertainment and enjoyment. This past summer we have taken in classic boat shows and car shows, listened to old time bands in the park, and gone back to our original vacation style, a house trailer.
My apologizes to the guys my camera was acting up so I could not get pictures of all 150 plus cars and even included some from a "CRUZ" earlier in the season.

Kathy,
I wish Barrie had taken a video of the three of you drumming....I'd love to see it! It looks like you've been having a wonderful summer taking in these various shows. The classic boat show is one that I would have loved to have attended...the old cedar strips are so beautiful.
Jo
Jo - He actually did but my daughter grabbed my camera and and I don't have it back yet. I don't know how good the sound is there was a lot going on and the venue was a parking lot beside the road.
The classic boat show was fantastic and one of these days when time permits and maybe I can get Barrie to convert some of the pictures to a video I will post about it.
Kathy,
Well, I guess it's clear that it wasn't yesterday. Great Corvette!
